INCM FAQ

Why in September?

As of now, EASA 2022, INCM 2022, and EASA 2023 are undecided. Especially for EASA 2022, extra time can be critical. That is why INCM Essentials takes place in early September, rather than October/November, giving the organising team(s) more than a month of extra time.

Why so short?

INCM's have grown in duration over the years, almost to the point of a smaller EASA and/or SESAM event. At times, there have been suggestions to include workshops on an INCM. The fact that this issue is even raised, proves to us that we have overcomplicated the INCM in its organisation and duration. We limit its duration for efficiency's and productivity's sake. That may or may not prove to be a bad decision. Only trying it out will tell.

What about COVID regulations?

To access Belgium, check your own country's regulations (you may need to quarantine). Regardless of your country of origin, any person travelling to Belgium MUST be able to show either a certificate of vaccination (Astra Zeneca, J&J, Pfizer, or Moderna), or a negative PCR-test less than 72h old AND a filled out Passenger Locator Form.

You can find the PLF templates here: https://travel.info-coronavirus.be/public-health-passenger-locator-form

What about the accomodation?

The accomodation is an active abbey in Leuven, called Abdij van Keizersberg. The address is Mechelsestraat 202, 3000 Leuven. It is about a 20 minute walk from Leuven's train station, which is easily reachable from both airports (Zaventem & Brussels South Charleroi).

Because of fire regulations, only 50 people can spend the night in the Abbey, others will have to look for their own accomodation (airBNB, Hostels, ... - contact the Belgian team for help).

You will have to bring your own mattress and sleeping bag.

We provide breakfast & dinner, we expect all participants to organise their own lunches.

How many people can come?

In total, 100 people can be present in the meeting room (again, fire regulations), which means 50 people outside of the accomodation can be present as 'guests' or bonus representatives. If you want to come just a few days, message the Belgian team for more info
